SEHWA MUSEUM OF ART 'Non-Algorithm Challenge' Exhibition Graphic Identity


The Non-Algorithm Challenge is a projected exhibition trilogy that aims to provoke contemplation on the distinctiveness of humanity from AI in the era of advanced artificial intelligence coexistence. The Part 1, 'Tuning the Ears', delves into the unique human sense, particularly focusing on 'the sense of hearing.' The part 2, 'Skin, the Deepest Part' and part 3, '4℃' aim to consider and rediscover what is the humanity traversing 'body', and 'memory' of human.


The title 'Non-Algorithm Challenge' is designed based on a geometric sans-serif font, making it unreadable for computers but recognizable for humans. The color theme is inspired by the hues of veins beneath the skin. The graphics are designed to visually represent the concept of each exhibition. The graphic in part 1, focusing on the concept amplifying auditory sense, visualizes an expansion of dots, lines and surfaces. Graphics in part 2 and part 3 visualize cells and neurons, focusing on the concept of part 2 as experiences of the skin and part 3 as cognitive abilities by collecting memories. The leaflets are also made using paper tailored to each respective concept.

세화미술관 '논알고리즘 챌린지' 전시 그래픽 아이덴티티


논알고리즘 챌린지는 고도화된 인공지능과 공존하는 시대에 AI와 차별화된 인간다움에 대해 다각적으로 사유해 보는 3부작 기획 전시 프로젝트입니다. 1부 '귀맞춤'은 인간의 감각, 특히 '청각'을 중심으로 인간 고유의 감각을 사유하는 전시입니다. 2부 '가장 깊은 것은 피부다'와 3부 '4도씨'는 인간의 '신체'와 '기억'을 넘나들며 인간다움이란 무엇인지에 대해 고민하고 재발견 해보는 전시입니다.


타이틀 Non-Algorithm Challenge는 지오메트릭 산세리프 폰트를 기반으로 컴퓨터는 인식 못 하지만 인간은 인식할 수 있도록 디자인했으며, 컬러 테마는 혈색에 기인하여 설정했습니다. 그래픽은 각 전시의 콘셉트에 맞춰 1부는 청각의 증폭을 주제로 점선면이 늘어나 확장되는 모습을 시각적으로 표현했으며, 2부는 살갗의 체험, 3부는 쌓인 기억을 통해 형성된 인지 능력을 주제로 세포와 뉴런을 시각화했습니다. 리플렛 또한 각각의 콘셉트에 맞춘 종이를 사용해 제작했습니다.
